Snowboard Boots k2 minks – Snowboard Boots

Which is a better snowboard boot?
I am just starting to snowboard this year and looking for a pair of boots.
I have found a pretty good deal between 2 boots. Can anyone tell me if the K2-Mink or the DC Phase boots are any good for women? And if so which one is better?
Thanks!

the best boot IS THE ONE THAT FITS YOUR FOOT, I highly suggest not buying boots online without atleast first having tried them on. Theirs a good chance the boot may not fit your feet properly and have bad pressure points. Something I suggest doing is trying on a bunch of different brands with your boarding socks on, make sure you walk around and even do some hops in them. You want to make sure they fit very snug, your toes should just be touching the end of the boot but shouldn’t be crunched.

Also another thing most new people don’t know is that when picking a snowboarding boot size you typically downsize one full size from your normal shoe size. You do this because one as I listed above the boot needs to fit snug and also with time and use the boot will actually pack out, so if you buy a new boot that is already loose it will only become looser with time and use, negating control over the board.

Snowboard Boots kent – Snowboard Boots

Snowboard boots?
Snowboard boots look cool as hell but ive never tried any on before and looking at them i can see theyre made with the leg part built leaning foward. i just wanted to knowif they can be worn for everyday style; like is that leg part pretty stiff or are those boots flexible enough to to stand erect in?

Well the real problem with snowboard boots isn’t so much the lean but the fact that once they are laced up they don’t let you move your ankle. This would make things like walking up and down stairs pretty difficult and driving a car is pretty much out of the question. Plus they tend to be heavier than even snow boot so you’ll probably get pretty tired it you tried to walk too far in them

Burton Snowboard size chart – Burton Snowboard

How to get the sizing chart sticker off a new snowboard?
I just bought a new burton snowboard, and i was just wondering- how do you get the sizing chart sticker (that they put on the back of the board), and the price sticker off without leaving any of the paper or residue? I’m really paranoid to take it off cuz i’m worried it’s gonna leave a bunch of paper! Does anyone know a good way to take it off, one that doesn’t leave ripped paper/ residue? thx a lot in advance!

use a hairdryer, and i would buy some goo-gone its called. works amazing to get stickers off anything

FreeRide Snowboard laax – FreeRide Snowboard

Should I be using both the freeride and freestyle snowboard?
I currently have a freeride snowboard. I generally go out to colorado every year so my freeride board works very well there. However, where I live its basically all about the terrain parks. I can do boxes and rails on my freeride, but as I get more advanced on the terrain park should I be using a freestyle board on the terrain park and use my freeride board when I go to Colorado?

you can technically take a freeride board into a park..theres no rule against that…but it is better to do one of two things…if you have the money, get a separate freestyle board…and bring both with you depending on your mood. If you want the best of both worlds…get a hybrid all-terrain board…

Flow Bindings nz – Flow Bindings

flow bindings?
hey, how are the flow bindings working out for you guys?

They had 2 recalls last season…there influence is fading in this day of freestyle riding. They just cant hang…plus their team only has one decent rider annti autti or whatever dudes name is… oh my bad they recetly got Scotty lago which is prolly a bad move for him but all the flow butt lickers are die hards and keep them in business…so scottys prolly gettin a fat check. Anyways enough of the ranting… from selling them for a while i have seen a lot come back broken and either sent out to be fixed or done by me. In recent years it seems to be getting worse… if you want a step in style binding with versatility, strength and quality check out the K2 Cinch. Good Luck

Burton Snowboard 09 – Burton Snowboard

is the new 09 red and white burton blunt snowboard good? is it flexible and is it worth the money?
This is my 5th year riding and I currently have a Gnu board. I was searching around on the internet and saw the new 09 model of the Burton Blunt. The book looks sick but I like to do butters and manuals and really want a flexible board. Is it flexbile and is it worth the investment.

Since it doesn’t sound like your a Burton follower, I suggest if you are willing to spend the money for the brand name, use the extra money you save and buy any other brand. Since you been riding 5 years you have experience so you want to be able to get a board that fits your needs.

If you buy a Burton they do make quality stuff (mid-high end lines) but you are paying an extra $50-100 just for the brand name. Since you said you have a GNU you can definitely keep looking at their line because they have BTX now which means they will be super easy to press (banana tech) and hold its edge amazingly (MTX).

Just a tip; don’t just go after board graphics. First choose a board that has the right size, then flex, then graphics last. If you really like to butter check out any board with reverse camber or BTX and you will be able to butter easier than cake. Rome has the 1985 Artifact, Burton Hero, K2 WWW with reverse camber, Signal Park and the list goes on.

If you want the softest board possible check out the Rome 1985 Artifact or K2 WWW with rocker. Those things are so soft it is unbelievable (wouldn’t suggest taking them off jumps but they kill it on boxes and rails).

Snowboarding Clothing hire – Snowboarding Clothing

Snowboarding clothing.?
I am going snowboarding for the first time and I don’t know what to wear. I don’t want to spend like 170 dollars for some snow pants right away. So whats the alternative? I have got a good jacket and hoodie but it is the pants that I seem to be screwed on. :(

You can usually find some medium priced snow pants (Columbia, Spyder, etc) for less than $100 – and you will be able to use them for many other activities. It you get uninsulated pants, you can wear other pants under them and use them for hiking or other sports.

When learning, you always spend a lot of time on your butt and I can’t imagine doing that in wet jeans.

Good Luck
